BambuStand for iOS
BambuStand Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 5, 2026
Developer: Michael Clifford
BambuStand is an independent app for read-only monitoring of Bambu Lab printers through Bambu Cloud. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Bambu Lab.
This policy explains how the BambuStand iOS app handles information when you sign in, monitor printers, save local preferences, or share diagnostics.
Information sent to Bambu Lab
When you use cloud sign-in, BambuStand sends your email address and verification code directly to the selected Bambu Cloud region. Authenticated connections use your session credentials and account identifiers to discover your printers and receive their reports.
Bambu Lab also receives connection information, including your IP address. Bambu Lab operates these services and determines how information received by its services is processed and retained. See the Bambu Lab Privacy Notice.
BambuStand does not operate a server that receives your cloud credentials or printer reports. The sample farm uses synthetic data and does not connect to Bambu Cloud.
Information handled on your device
BambuStand processes printer names, print-job information, filament information, temperatures, progress, and reported notices on your device to display monitoring information.
The app stores:
- Session credentials in the iOS Keychain.
- The selected email address and cloud region for session restoration.
- Local notice records, review decisions, reminder preferences, and a limited observed history.
- Display preferences and farm filter and sort settings.
Verification codes are not saved. Persistent notice and history records exclude raw telemetry, job names, and credentials.
BambuStand does not synchronize these local records through a developer-operated service. Device backups and other operating-system behavior remain subject to your Apple settings.
How information is used
BambuStand uses information to authenticate with Bambu Cloud, display printer reports, restore your session, preserve local preferences and review decisions, and provide diagnostics you choose to share.
BambuStand contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs. It does not use email addresses or account identifiers for targeted advertising or advertising measurement, and it does not request the advertising identifier.
Optional diagnostics and support
The Diagnostics feature lets you preview a limited status report before sharing it. The report excludes credentials, account and printer identifiers, names, measurements, timestamps, and raw printer reports.
Nothing is uploaded automatically. Sharing opens the iOS share sheet, where you choose the recipient and destination. Copies you share are handled by the recipient under their own practices.
If you contact the developer for support, the information you voluntarily provide will be used to respond to your request and investigate the reported problem.
Do not include passwords, verification codes, session tokens, or private printer information in public issue reports.
If you use TestFlight, Apple handles beta feedback and crash reporting through its services and your Apple settings.
Retention and deletion
Local records remain until removed through the app’s controls or applicable iOS storage management.
Account → Sign out removes the active account and region’s saved session, local history, reviews, reminder preferences, and farm preferences after confirmation. Other account and region data, along with shared display settings, remain.
Removing a saved session from the login screen removes that credential only.
These actions do not delete your Bambu Lab account or information held by Bambu Lab. Manage that information through Bambu Lab’s services. Keychain credentials can survive app removal, so uninstalling alone may not remove a saved session.
Security
BambuStand uses encrypted network connections, the iOS Keychain for session credentials, and iOS file protection for its protected local records.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the app’s features or information-handling practices change. The effective date above identifies the latest revision.
